Below is a letter we just received from Laura Vanessa. She is writing to respond to several messages she received from donors.

I love you very much dear sponsors!
My greatest joy is to get to know about you through your photos and your letters. The doors of my heart and of my family’s hearts are open for you. We welcome you to be part of the family. I wish thousand blessings to you from God for your encouragement and support. Thank you as well to the translator Vanessa from Hong Kong and also to your third grade students. Thank you for the opportunity to meet you and for your generous financial support. But most important, thank you for letting me be part of your lives. It is a pleasure to write to you, besides I enjoy doing it.
I want to wish the best to your friend who is going to get married. I will pray for her so that God gives her strength in this beautiful stage of her life. I offer to her my friendship and affection.
I want to thank you immensely for your support. How evident is God’s love! With the money you donated I was able to buy my school supplies and my uniform. Thank you and God bless you.
I am in 8th grade and classes started at the end of January. There are 90 students in 8th grade but only 30 in my class. The school has 950 students total and we study from 8 a.m. to 12 p.m. and from 1:30 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. The subjects I like the most are English and computers although we do not have many hours of classes for those subjects. Then I must study those subjects at home.
You sent me photos where I can see computers. They look nice. I do not have a computer yet but the school does have computers where I learn and practice.
About me I want to tell you that I am 13. I am now a teenager and therefore there are many changes I am going through. I like basketball and so during my spare time I play at school. I like to go out and ride the bicycle or walk with my two best friends Alejandra and Ana. I also like to make figures in color paper and like to write. I help with house tasks; I like to be neat and clean. I also like to teach Sunday school classes at Church to children younger than 7. I also like to participate in the youth gatherings at my Church.
Easter will be on April 1st. During that time I will be with my family and it is a time to pray and reflect. Easter is a special occasion in my town. There are special meals people make but one I like the most is one made with seven different ingredients. I also like fruits, vegetables and grains. In my country food is very delicious!

Les amo mucho queridos padrinos.
My mayor felicidad es haberles conocido atreves de sus fotos y escritos suyos. Las puertas del corazón de todos los de la casa y míos están abiertas para ustedes. Bienvenidos a formar parte de mi familia, mil bendiciones de Dios a todos quienes me reconfortan y me animan, a tu traductora a Vanessa de Hongkonq a tus alumnos de tercer grado. Gracias por darmen la oportunidad de conocerles por brindarme la generosa ayuda pero sobre todo por permitirme ser parte de sus vidas.
Es sensacional escribirles además me gusta mucho hacerlo.
De ante mano desearles lo mejor a tu amiga en su matrimonio así como por todos ustedes sigo orando por ella para que Dios le reconforte en esa bonita etapa de su vida, de igual manera le ofrezco toda mi amistad y mi cariño.
Quiero agradecerles inmensamente su ayuda, cuan manifiesto es el amor de Dios, con ello pude hacer compritas de mis útiles escolares y uniformes de verdad gracias y que Dios les bendiga.
Ingrese a finales de enero al grado octavo de secundaria.
Hay noventa (90) en este grado, en mi aula hay treinta (30) y en el total en mi colegio hay novecientos cincuenta (950). Trabajamos en dos jornadas todo el día. De 8:00 a 12:00am y de 1:30 a 4:00pm.
Las materias que más me gustan son el inglés e informática aunque tienen intensidad horaria corta, entonces debo estudiarlas más en casa.
Que bonitas las computadoras de tus fotos, yo aun no tengo una pero en el colegio existen algunas en las que aprendo y practico.
De mi vida cotidiana: tengo trece años, he entrado a mi adolescencia y he empezado a experimentar muchos cambios; me gusta el baloncesto ahora estoy jugando eliminatorias en el colegio en mis tiempos libres. Voy con mis dos mejores amigas Alejandra y Ana a montar bicicleta o a camina.
También elaboro figuras en hojas de colores y escribo. Ayudo en casa me gusta el orden y la limpieza, también me gusta enseñar en la iglesia los domingos escuela dominical a los niñitos menores de siete añitos. Me gusta asistir al grupo de jóvenes.
El primero de abril viene la semana santa estaré en familia en mucha oración y reflexión esta época en mi pueblo tiene un menú tradicional para cada día una de esas recetas son las que más me gustan se elaboran con siete productos, me gustan las frutas, verduras y cereales.
¡En mi país todos los menús son atractivos………!
