Bogotá, September 17, 2009

My name is Maria Paula Arango Pinto and I am a friendly, cooperative, fair, caring, and happy girl. I am 8 years old and I was born in Medellin on December 15, 2000.

I study in the Liceo school and went to preschool at The Divine Infancy School. Currently, I am in 4th grade and I have been doing very well in English, which is my favorite subject. My teachers are very friendly, and because of this I am very skilled.

I enjoy reading. Some of my favorite stories are by Rafael Pombo, as well as stories from the Bible. Recently, my dad bought me the book “A Thousand and One Nights” and I am reading it with my mom and dad. I also like playing with my Barbie dolls very much and watching movies about princesses.

I live with my parents in the 20th of July neighborhood in the city of Bogotá in a small apartment, which I don’t like because it is very cold. My father is a pastor of the Evangelical Lutheran Church of Colombia and my mother is a preschool teacher. I am very special to them, which makes me very happy.

I have a very lovely and loving family. When my parents have time, we visit my grandparents and uncles or sometimes they come to visit us.
