A letter from Shanling Li

Respected Aunts and Uncles at Givology,

Hello!

Has everything been going smoothly for you lately? Are you happy?

Three and a half semesters have already passed since I entered high school life. During the time that has gone by, I have felt very grateful to have been chosen by you as a recipient of your financial aid? so because of this, I'd first like to say a big "thank you" to both you and the Peach Foundation. I'm thanking you for your care and support, and thanking Peach for the new opportunity they have created for me as well as the school supplies and other daily necessities they have given me. In the world of this life, because I've had Peach's support, my toiling parents' hardships have been lessened a bit, and my family's anxiety has been somewhat alleviated...Yes, you have really provided me with a patch of blue sky.

The past is like the wind, lightly blowing by my ear.

Second? I will tell you a couple of things about myself! [I was born in the year of the rooster, on January 7, 1993; this year I am 17. My home is in Jiuhe, but right now I'm going to school in Yulong County.] In my school life and when I'm studying, maybe because of the Peach Foundation summer camp's Aunt Liu and her "happy person" influence, when I run into problems I am able to maintain a more calm, peaceful mentality than before. With this mentality I have gradually adjusted to an environment that originally was unfamiliar, gradually gotten to know the teachers and classmates who were originally strangers, and even gradually started to participate in school clubs' activities. For example, on Saturdays I sign up to participate in the mathematics interest and research club's activities? and from these activities I have gained a new understanding of studying math. Although my grades have only been mediocre, I firmly believe that "as long as you work hard, you will surely be rewarded." Thus, from now on, I will try very hard, take school seriously, and constantly look for the best study methods.

Time passes quickly. Lastly, I'd like to say that I'm "quietly awaiting your reply," that I hope you are healthy, and that I wish you all the best!

Li Shanling
