I'm Nina Kamath, and I’m a junior at Lynbrook High School in San Jose, California. I’m very active with Future Business Leaders of America, the largest student business organization in the world, and currently serve as National FBLA Parliamentarian representing 215,000 members of the organization. I also sit on the Executive Board for CA FBLA and lead Lynbrook FBLA as President (200+ members). Besides FBLA, I am very dedicated to a variety of community organizations. Serving on the executive board of San Jose's Youth Advisory Council of District 1, I represent the voice of over 10,000 youth in San Jose. On Mike Honda's Student Advisory Council, I work closely with city officials to combat youth issues in topics such as education or health.
This past year, I really demonstrated my passion for environmental activism when I spearheaded an environmental campaign in my community, a project that won first place on a national level. I hope my efforts in similar projects will help alleviate the current environmental issues in the future.
In my spare time, I love chatting on G-talk, checking Facebook and Youtube, and reading novels.
As an active intern for Givology, I look forward to marketing this great organization to my own networks, writing and designing the weekly newsletter, and helping in a Donor Engagement Project. I feel beyond honored to help in an organization that values education, a facet that I know impacts an individual's future forever and has made a lasting impact on my life.
