I am 18 years old and I am from Rosado, a village outside the town Tobatí. When I am in Rosado, I live with my four siblings and my parents. I am the oldest of all the children. Last year I graduate from Instituto Cultural Reinaldo Macchi and I am now attending the Joseph Coiffure Hair Styling Academy in Asunción. When I am not studying or attending classes I am working and living in Asunción as a nanny. On the weekends I return to Rosado to spend time with my family and I often work with my father in the artisan shop to help him support our family. This past February I began studying at the Academy. It is my goal that within two years I will have my professional certificate and be able to begin working and earning a salary. While I love what I am doing, in the future I hope to use the money I will make to return to school and study to be an Orthodontist.

My time at the Institute taught me that nothing important comes easily and you must fight for what you want. Every day I remind myself of that and it gives me the strength to continue.
