Impact

In this community, illiteracy and abuse are widespread. Since most men are unemployed, with no other means to support their families, the women sell their bodies. Generations pass on what they know – mother sell their daughters and sons are forced into child labor, drugs and crime.

The majority of their employees are hired from within the community to provide opportunity and growth. Two schools have been built along with a health care clinic providing free medical care.

Many children are the first in their families to become literate and may be the first to find a job outside of the sex trade.

Interactions with Givology

Sheed Society is a small grassroots organization that Givology has chosen to work with on a project-by-project basis. Sheed has a US correspondent who serves as the liaison between Sheed's Pakistani and US operations, as well as the Givology team. This US contact is also providing Givology with regular visual and written updates.
