Three helpful tips for messaging students -

Make it personal: by telling a student about yourself you can develop a relationship with him or her that shows you truly care

Keep it simple: students are going to elementary and secondary school, all of whom speak English as a second language. Using language that is easy to understand will make communication a lot easier.

End with a bang: Encourage students to work hard in school and work toward their goals!
